Too much photoshop?? COCO ROCHA goes without.

Coco Rocha, one of Canadas best super models is going to be the face of canadian fashion label JACOB  for their Fall 2011 add campaign. They have set a NO PHOTOSHOP rule. This concept seems far out to many photographers. Honestly though, if labels start doing this, it might actually weed out the mediocre photographers from the GREAT photographers. Fashion photography is a over saturated relm of the fashion industry. Far too often we see extremely retouched photos in fashion magazines where the models, actresses or pop stars dont even ressemble themeselves. We back JACOB 100% on this one and we are sure Coco will excell with this campaign. Cant wait to see it!! We will post it as soon as its up!

The art of color blocking for summer 2011.

Color blocking was extremely hot on the runways for spring/summer 2011. We particularly like this trend because when it is done well, it brings a sense of confidence and class. No frills, just a classic combination of color punches. Wether the shades chosen are bright or subdued, the combination of shapes and colors that are happening at the moment are very chic and smart.

Here are a couple of examples of current color blocking trends.

Get inspired and get noticed!!!

Casino as an inspiration for Spring

The film Casino by Martin Scorsese has fabulous style the whole way threw. The wardrobe is epic.
Being based on a Jewish American gambling mobster relocating to Vegas in the 1970's, this film hits everything that is glamorous about the era.

These glasses hold their own. So over powering and heavy, they get your attention right away. Hopefully this will trend for men this coming spring!!!

Sharon Stone's outfits really bring to mind some of the pieces in Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 Collection. Here are a few examples of what we are talking about.
