A Détacher fits.

The weather was somber today in Montreal. Grey skies and the return of large snowflakes made for a fall scene. After a couple of days last week where the sun was out, the snow had melted and we could once again parade around town in our loved high heels.

One designers collection fit perfect with today's feel in Montreal, Mona Kowalska's  A Détacher. The colours were cozy and had an antique essence. The women looked smart and comfortable with a certain approachability.

Insect inspiration in a performance piece collection for Moncler Gamme Rouge SP2011

Moncler Gamme Rouge is always a bit over the top. Their Spring collection was no different. Sky high turbans and neon painted body parts created a feel of the insect world. Moncler is a outerwear brand so we attempted to focus on the coats and jackets, but how could you? This was a mash up of color and shapes, some bold some soft, plaid with floral, reds and baby blues. It was all over the map yet somehow came together.

What do you think of the Moncler Spring 2011 collection?

Was this model able to see with these insect eyes?

JAPAN in our hearts and minds.

The tragedy affecting Japan breaks all of our hearts. Hopefully these people can find support, help and safety. Hopefully the hell they are living at the moment stops and they can try to start healing.

Sending all our love.

Still love these...CHANEL older video's

Both these video's have stuck in my mind like cotton candy to one's fingers.
So inspirational, such beauty and elegance.

MIU MIU

Miuccia Prada went for the 40's with her collection, but there was also a hint of early 80's working girl..
We love the simplicity in some outfits and the fun patterns in others. This collection is bold yet feminine.

Really liking the 40's boyish look to this outfit!

Bravo Miuccia Prada!

Townes Van Zandt in Heartworn Highway

jean paul gaultier

Grey, grey, grey... Jean-Paul Gaultier's mood seemed to be a sober one. Ash blond and gray beehives mixed with very classic cuts reminiscent of 60's Italian fashions gave us a sense that maybe Jean Paul is sending a message out there. Women can be beautiful at any age. Be confident, be ravishing no matter who you are!

this is the best look of the show

Magic indeed Manish Arora Fall 2011

Manish first showed his collection in Dheli, it's no wonder he has made it to Paris. This man has an incredible vision. The color combinations in the fabrics and his choices in playing with shapes and forms, dragging magic into fantasy and then back into reality. It seems like there is reference to modern Japanese fabrics mixed in with acid flashback hallucinations and a late 70's  aesthetic. His collection really blows all other competition away. The feeling is edgy with a sense of the future.
Love, love, love.

Manish is the voice of the future in fashion.
