Running wild in Paris for Fall 2011 Couture

Alexis Mabille designed his fall 2011 collection with fairy tales in mind. Using creatures from a grandiose dream like forest, the inspiration followed on to the cat walk with models sporting long feathers, animal prints and furs. Mabille can be known for his over the top creations. We found the collection as a whole showed his lack of technical ability.  Some pieces rose to the occasion and then some really didnt cut it. Some of the gowns did manage to carry a certain parisian femininity we are all familiar with. Not our favorite fall collection.

Heres a look at what we liked.

End of July means Fall is near...

So lets take a look at Fall 2011 clutches from our favorite designers! These clutches break the mold. The colors are bold, the shapes fierce and the patterns are very strong! We love what these deseigners have been cooking up this summer!

Here are our top pics..

Color blocking done fabulously!!!!

Stuart Vevers  changed his game for Spring 2011. Fall was a sea of beige but with spring he gave the collection a boost of color. We all know color blocking is huge this season and he was right on trend.

Bluemarine takes cat lovers seriously. Spring 2011

Summer is in full force here in Montreal, so why not take a look at a hot collection that makes us purrr with enthusiasm. Leopard is in right now. We suppose it never left. The colors designer Anna Molinari chose to use in this Spring 2011 collection are fresh and clean feeling. Perfect for this wonderful heat. We also like that she threw in some tighter pieces upping the sexy factor with lots of leather and ruching.
