LG FASHION WEEK: CAITLIN POWER S/S 12

The Caitlin Power show was fierce. This collection is for the woman who has confidence, power and elegance. The use of bright orange mixed in with snake skin and leather was brilliant. This is not for the pushover, this is for the rock and roller who grew up and is now kicking ass in the board room. All in all this is a dynamic take at the modern woman.

LG FASHION WEEK: KRANE S/S 12

The KRANE S/S 12 collection was highly stylized. The whole thing had an understated cool to it, very urban. The fit was adjusted. The detailing was very linear. Interesting collection over all, but the color scheme was a tad dull for Spring. We see the rolled up above the knee tight shorts becoming a big trend next summer.

LG FASHION WEEK: LABEL S/S 12

"A very wearable collection." is what we heard most fashion insiders say after the show. We agree 100% This collection had pieces for most young women from 18-30. It was on trend and easy to mix and match. We really loved all the eye wear too!

 

Our coup de coeur is this dress!!! Love the fringe!

LG FASHION WEEK Marie Saint Pierre S/S 12

Lots of black, white and nude is what Marie Saint Pierre did for Spring/Summer 2012. The trim on each piece was meticulously finished.  The models wore neutral colored bathing caps and low sleek ponytails. Everything flowed and seemed totally wearable. Each dress felt feminine but completely effortlessly. It was also nice to see Montreal be represented in such a graceful and elegant fashion. Bravo Marie Saint Pierre!!

LG FASHION WEEK Robert Graham S/S 12

Can more men dress like this please? So fun and fresh, the Robert Graham collection pleased. The studio show layout invited guests to walk around the models and interact with them as if at an afternoon party.  Each one having different characters, which really came out with all the bright colors, rolled up sleeves and rolled pant cuffs. There was a lot of detail to each shirt, combining different lines or checkers. Wouldn't it be nice if come spring, the cute boys in the city were inspired by this show?

Side note: The hair for this show is something we hope men will be taking note of.

The music was perfect and dream like for an early afternoon showing.
