LG FASHION WEEK: CAITLIN POWER S/S 12

The Caitlin Power show was fierce. This collection is for the woman who has confidence, power and elegance. The use of bright orange mixed in with snake skin and leather was brilliant. This is not for the pushover, this is for the rock and roller who grew up and is now kicking ass in the board room. All in all this is a dynamic take at the modern woman.

LG FASHION WEEK: GOLNAZ ASHANTIANI

Perfect for the woman who needs to go from the office to a 5 a 7. Ashtiani did not let us down. She brought the sort of feminine feel we've seen all over the international runways  right to LG Fashion Week held in Toronto.  Silks and chiffon's made the front row focusing on that femininity that back the entire collection. She added a few long gowns which felt natural and beautifully fitted. One of the top ten shows during LG Fashion Week S/S 12.

LG FASHION WEEK: LABEL S/S 12

"A very wearable collection." is what we heard most fashion insiders say after the show. We agree 100% This collection had pieces for most young women from 18-30. It was on trend and easy to mix and match. We really loved all the eye wear too!

 

Our coup de coeur is this dress!!! Love the fringe!

LG FASHION WEEK Marie Saint Pierre S/S 12

Lots of black, white and nude is what Marie Saint Pierre did for Spring/Summer 2012. The trim on each piece was meticulously finished.  The models wore neutral colored bathing caps and low sleek ponytails. Everything flowed and seemed totally wearable. Each dress felt feminine but completely effortlessly. It was also nice to see Montreal be represented in such a graceful and elegant fashion. Bravo Marie Saint Pierre!!

the shOws and Jean-Pierre Braganza

First let's talk about the shoes. The shoes that went along with jean-Pierre Braganza's collection grabbed everyone's attention. From the first pair that came out, all we heard amongst the fashion elite crowd was whispers of "Did you see those shoes!!!!" or "I have to have a pair!"

The collection itself was beautifully crafted with amazing attention to detail. The cuts were intricate and complex. Jean-Pierre was definitely the favorite amongst the crowd out of the shOws 2 day event. Each piece was put together piece by piece. It seemed very fresh and maybe even a bit futuristic. This designer is an inspiration in his craft, this whole collection was extremely interesting technically.
