Berardi goes light and girly for Spring!

We are used to seeing super short and super tight with Antonio Berardi. For his Spring 2011 Ready to Wear collection Berardi really changes things up. There is an air of sophistication, elegance and luxury to this one yet totally keeping with the clean modern edge. He introduced parachute like pants, with tuxedo tops and then went  to shiny silver trench's that were to die for, then off to ballet/military  combo which oozed prettiness.

This collection was sort of all over the map, in a good way!

Loving both of these trench coats, one for day and one to glam up the night.

This jacket is to die for! Excellent cut and form.

Finally, Phillip Lim's Calder shoe wold be a perfect match to Brardi's black and white suit.

Ying Gao & Karl Latraverse by Trusst

There was an intent of structure that was so strong in this collab. collection that it changed the mood of the crowd from light and whimsical to serious and attentive. Dark hues and leather accessories set a harsh tone, one we felt suggested seriousness of creation. We loved the way the models turned camera's onto the audience and gave us all a feeling we were being watched by them. Switching the concept around a little and keeping things clear, Ying Gao & Karl Latraverse really set a standard for upcoming shows.

Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy SPRING 2011

Givenchy went all out for spring. Really, all out. There are hints of Japanese toy robots and what feels like soft swans flowing from weeping willows. Intense mixtures of soft and hard yet all done in the graceful hues really make it top of its game. The work Riccardo Tisci puts in to his pieces is unmatchable this season. One outfit required 2,000 hours of cutting and 4,000 hours of sewing.
Swarovski crystals and lazer cut organza bird wings are just some of the detailing Tisci used on this crazy beautiful fantasy induced collection. In our opinion he is undeniably a master of his craft.

Here are some of our top picks from the SPRING 2011 Givenchy Collection by Riccardo Tisci.
