Christopher Kane Spring RTW '11 a burst of freshness.

       Spring is around the corner and we are definitely feeling it in the air. The weather the last few days has been so warm and spring like, it's been encouraging to us. Looking at Christopher Kane's Spring Ready to wear collection for 2011 we can really feel the freshness especially with his choice of colours. Using perforated leather with a vinyl coating  gives  a more shine, more of a clean allure and mixing that with lace and patterns that look peacock like, he takes the tea time look to a futuristic time. This collection goes perfect with springs new love for orange cosmetics.

There was an intent of structure that was so strong in this collab. collection that it changed the mood of the crowd from light and whimsical to serious and attentive. Dark hues and leather accessories set a harsh tone, one we felt suggested seriousness of creation. We loved the way the models turned camera's onto the audience and gave us all a feeling we were being watched by them. Switching the concept around a little and keeping things clear, Ying Gao & Karl Latraverse really set a standard for upcoming shows.

The Bag Dress

    This type of dress can look fabulous on most shapes if accessorized well. We've seen it around for a long time now and it keeps coming back. It's classic and versatile, kind of like the little black dress. Cacharel just put out their Pre-Fall Collection for 2011 which included the famous bag dress. We like it.

There's an understated feel to each of these dresses, yet each one is elegant and playful. This style can transcend threw each season and last threw the years.  We chose to show beige/brown dresses because of their versatility and class. Paired with black or cream, all of these would be killer.
